This heavy vintage silver napkin ring was hallmarked in Birmingham in 1944 by Joseph Gloster of Lion Silver Works, Hockley Hill. 1944 - the country was in the throws of the Second World War, the Germans began the doodlebug attacks on London and in June the Normandy Landings took place.
It is still in excellent condition, with a smart engine turned design all the way around and a very clear hallmark. It has the letter 'B' engraved in the cartouch - a perfect gift for any Bill, Bob, Ben, Blake, Bernie, Barbie, Betty, Betsy, Bella.......
