This lovely bronze sculpture captures the adorable character of these playful little dogs , the ever popular Westies.
It is easy to see why Michael's sculptures are so popular, he has a keen eye for the form and character of the animal he is modelling, be it wildlife or our beloved domestic companions. Michael studied in Staffordshire and was inspired by the traditions of pottery in Stoke on Trent. As a result of this he sometimes works in clay for his initial modelling, unlike most bronze artists who always use wax.
The dogs are made from solid foundry bronze, with a hand finished patina.
They stand 5 cm tall, 8 cm long, 5 cm in depth , and weigh 190g.
Each piece comes beautifully boxed with a certificate of authenticity. The certificate also includes information about the artist and the edition number . This piece is one of a Limited Edition of 250 .
