A stunning small work of art; a sculpture of a little sleeping mouse cosily curled in an open conker shell. The little mouse is removable so can sit in the palm of your hand in a pleasingly tactile way.

All crafted in solid foundry bronze, the pieces have been hand finished using traditional patination techniques to create beautiful colour. This model is one of David Meredith's most popular small sculptures.

David counts the Midlands as his home, but spends the colder months at his new studio in Thailand which is next door to the modern foundry that casts his work for him, resulting in beautifully detailed models. He believes that " the greatest sculptor of all is nature itself " His large work is regularly shown in galleries and at the Chelsea Flower Show.

The total size of the sculpture is approximately 11 cm long and 7 cm wide, with the little sleepyhead mouse measuring approximately 3cm in diameter.

Bronze is traditionally given as a gift for the 8th Wedding Anniversary.
