It is easy to see why Michael's sculptures are so popular, he has a keen eye for the form and character of the animal he is modelling, be it wildlife or a Cockapoo. Michael studied in Staffordshire and was inspired by the traditions of pottery in Stoke on Trent. As a result of this he sometimes works in clay for his initial modelling, unlike most bronze artists who always use wax.
