They say that two's company, three is a crowd. Seems that's true in mouse land too! That pair of harvest mice are not going to let their buddy join them in this cute sculpture by Michael Simpson.
It is easy to see why Michael's sculptures are so popular, he has a keen eye for the form and character of the animal he is modelling, be it a pet dog or British wildlife. Michael studied in Staffordshire and was inspired by the traditions of Stoke on Trent. As a result of this he works in clay for his initial modelling, unlike most bronze artists who use wax.
The mice are made from solid foundry bronze, with a hand finished patina.
It is a limited edition sculpture - one of 150.
They stand 9cm tall, are 9.5 cm wide and 8 cm deep. They weigh 185g.
Each piece comes beautifully boxed with a certificate of authenticity. The certificate also includes information about the artist and the edition number .
