Modelled by sculptor Keith Sherwin who was born in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, the home of the Potteries. He trained as a ceramic artist, with the world renowned company Royal Doulton. He is a self taught wildlife sculptor whose aim is to observe nature and its beauty, to capture a moment in time and share it via his work.
The sculpture is exquisitely hand-finished using traditional patination techniques to give beautiful colour. The poppy has been delicately hand-painted with artist's oils and sealed with a protective varnish.
It is a limited edition sculpture -Number 82 of 175.
It stands 12.5 cm tall and is 7 cm wide and weighs approximately 325g.
Each piece comes beautifully boxed with a certificate of authenticity. The certificate also includes information about the artist and the edition number .
