This is a wonderful depiction of these handsome animals, created by artist Michael Simpson.
It is easy to see why Michael's sculptures are so popular, he has a keen eye for the form and character of the animal he is modelling, be it a family pet or a wild hare.. Michael studied in Staffordshire and was inspired by the traditions of pottery in Stoke on Trent. As a result of this he sometimes works in clay for his initial modelling, unlike most bronze artists who always use wax.
The hare is made from solid foundry bronze, with a hand finished patina.

He stands 10.2cm tall x 6.4 x 4.8 cm.
