This is a Limited Edition solid foundry bronze depicting a sinuous salmon swimming through the reeds of a river. It has been modelled by sculptor Michael Simpson.
Michael studied in Staffordshire and was inspired by the traditions of pottery in Stoke on Trent. As a result of this he sometimes works in clay for his initial modelling, unlike most bronze artists who generally use wax. His keen eye and sculptural skills capture so evocatively the beauty of our British wildlife .
