The highly skilled art of vitreous enamelling involves applying powdered glass to the surface of the silver and fusing them by firing at very high temperatures, to create a smooth durable glossy finish.
Beautiful blue tones are applied to the body and eye of the turtle. The detailed silver framework prettily describes the pattern of a turtle's shell.
