Designed by contemporary jeweller Nicole Barr, this fine sterling silver pendant has been crafted using the ancient technique of enamelling to create a bright, cheerful and exquisitely detailed depiction of this daisy-like flower. A perfect pendant for when we need a pop of colour!
The highly skilled art of vitreous enamelling involves applying powdered glass to the surface of the silver and fusing them by firing at very high temperatures to create a smooth durable glossy finish. In this pendant the black of the centre contrasts beautifully with the lovely translucence of the yellow petals.
Black-Eyed Susans are believed to symbolise encouragement and justice.
The flower pendant has a diameter of 1.7 cm. The silver is Rhodium Plated for easy care.
It is presented on a quality 52.5 cm silver belcher chain with an ingenious silicon lined sliding ball to make it fully adjustable, so it may be worn at any shorter length.
