This vintage silver napkin ring was hallmarked in Birmingham in 1936, by Crisford & Norris Ltd of Vyse Street, Birmingham. This year is notable for the death of George V early in the year, the accession of his son Edward VIII to the throne, and his subsequent abdication, enabling him to marry Wallis Simpson.
It is still in excellent condition. It has a really unusual, quite masculine design. Just imagine the dinner tables it has graced in it's time....
