You can almost see this hare running off in the early morning light. It is a wonderful depiction of these handsome animals, created by artist Michael Simpson.
It is easy to see why Michael's sculptures are so popular, he has a keen eye for the form and character of the animal he is modelling, be it a family pet or a wild hare.. Michael studied in Staffordshire and was inspired by the traditions of pottery in Stoke on Trent. As a result of this he sometimes works in clay for his initial modelling, unlike most bronze artists who always use wax.
The hare is made from solid foundry bronze, with a hand finished patina.
This is a limited edition sculpture, one of 250.
He stands 7 cm tall, measure 10.5 cm long, 4 cm deep and weighs approximately 145g
Each piece comes beautifully boxed with a certificate of authenticity. The certificate also includes information about the artist and the edition number .
