A lovely example of some fine engraving adorns this particularly pretty vintage locket, which was hallmarked in Sheffield in 1979.
Both the front and back of the locket are beautifully decorated with an ornate engraved foliate design in lovely condition. The front is enhanced further by a striking 'sunburst' design which catches the light beautifully. Both front and back are slightly domed. The hinge works well and it closes easily.
The pendant has a total drop of 4.6 cm, including the silver bale and it is 2.8 cm wide. It is presented on a 56 cm (22 inch) chain with a bolt ring catch. Total weight 15.8g.
It will be delivered in a Smithsonia gift box.
