Carrick Jewellery Ltd of Glasgow created a large collection of jewellery inspired by the work of Mackintosh, who was a renowned designer and architect of the Arts and Crafts movement at the turn of the last century. He was particularly well-known for his designs for the Glasgow School of Art and Willow Tea-rooms; these cuff-links take their inspiration from the geometric details of his ladder-back chairs.
Crafted from sterling silver c 1990, the front piece of the cufflinks measures 2 cm long and 1.6 cm wide and the bar at the back is 1.6 cm by 0.5 cm. The linking chain is 2 cm chain long.
In very good condition.
