This finely engraved vintage sterling silver bangle was hallmarked in Birmingham in 1963 by Smith and Pepper, the business owners of the workshops which occupied the buildings now open as the Museum of The Jewellery Quarter.
The exquisite ornate engraving of foliate swirls is on both sides of this lovely wide bangle. The hinged bangle has a strong safe catch with the addition of a safety chain, and is in very good condition with a clear hallmark.
It would make a thoughtful gift for anyone born in 1963. How lovely to wear a little piece of your personal history in a piece of jewellery which also represents part of the history of jewellery making in Birmingham.
