This finely engraved vintage sterling silver bangle was hallmarked in Birmingham in 1962 by Joseph Gloster.
The pretty, ornate engraving of swirls and leaves is on the front face only, the reverse side being polished silver. It has a strong safe catch with the addition of a safety chain, and has a super bright and shiny finish.
As with all we ladies born in the '60s , it has a few minor imperfections; one very tiny dint on the back face (photo 5) and a barely perceptible indentation on the front.
It would make a thoughtful gift for anyone born in 1962. How lovely to wear a little piece of your personal history. And the bangle was hallmarked in the same year as the Beatles released their first single in their own right, 'Love Me Do', and Golden Wonder introduce flavoured crisps for the first time to the UK market, with cheese and onion.
