Carrick Jewellery Ltd of Glasgow created a large collection of jewellery inspired by the work of Mackintosh, who was a renowned designer and architect of the Arts and Crafts movement at the turn of the last century. He was particularly well-known for his designs for the Glasgow School of Art and Willow Tea-rooms;  these cuff-links pair two of his iconic motifs, the geometry of his ladder-back chairs and the flowing lines of a stylised leaf-form.

Crafted from sterling silver and hallmarked in Edinburgh in 1991, the front round element of the cufflinks measures 1.8 cm in diameter and the bar at the back is 1.6 cm by 0.5 cm. The linking chain is 2 cm chain long.
