A lovely find, this finely engraved vintage sterling silver bangle, was hallmarked for EFB & Co. in Birmingham's historic Jewellery Quarter, in 1958.
The exquisite engraving of swirls, chevrons, leaves and a forget-me-not flower is on the front face only, the reverse side being polished silver. It has a strong safe catch with the addition of a safety chain, and is fairly good condition. There are a couple of gentle minor dents but nothing that detracts from this lovely old beauty.
How lovely to wear a little piece of history. The bangle was hallmarked in the same year as work started on the M1 motorway and the first episode of the children's programme, Blue Peter, was broadcast.
It is oval in shape, measuring 6 cm by 5.5 cm internally. 2.2 cm wide and it weighs 35.7g.
