A particularly attractive example, this finely engraved vintage sterling silver bangle was hallmarked for Kenart Ltd. in Birmingham's historic Jewellery Quarter, in 1936.
The exquisite engraving of swirls, leaves and forget-me-not flowers is on the front face only, the reverse side being polished silver. It has a strong safe catch with the addition of a safety chain, and is in very good condition.
How lovely to wear a little piece of history. Just imagine, the bangle was hallmarked in the same year as the abdication of George V, the birth of BBC Television, and the destruction by fire of the iconic Crystal Palace.
It is overall oval in shape, with a flat profile. Ideal for a smaller wrist, it measures 5.8 cm by 5 cm internally and is 1.9 cm wide. It weighs 28g.
