The ancient Egyptians saw lapis as a symbol of the night sky and since the earliest of times it has been associated with strength and courage, royalty and wisdom, intellect and truth.
The studs measure 2.1 cm by 1.2 cm with a silver post and butterfly fitting attached towards the centre.
They are delivered in a Smithsonia gift box.
