Designed by jeweller Nicole Barr, this fine sterling silver pendant is created by using the ancient technique of enamelling in a pretty design to celebrate these elegant creatures of the sea.
The highly skilled art of vitreous enamelling involves applying powdered glass to the surface of the silver and fusing them by firing at very high temperatures, to create a smooth durable glossy finish.
Vibrant green and lemony cream coloured enamel has been applied to the exquisitely detailed pendant on both front and back.
The pendant has a total drop of 2.6 cm including the bale, and is 0.9 cm wide. The silver is Rhodium Plated for easy care.
It is presented on a quality 52.5 cm silver belcher chain with an ingenious silicon lined sliding ball to make it fully adjustable, so it may be worn at any shorter length.
