What a glamorous, pretty old lady, the oldest napkin ring we have in our collection.
This antique silver napkin ring was hallmarked in London in 1873, that's over 150 years ago! 1873, during the reign of Queen Victoria, was the year that J. S. Fry & Sons produced the UK's first chocolate Easter eggs.
It is finely and delicately engraved with silver beading on the edges and an unusual fern like pattern around all of it except for the plain section at the front, where you could engrave.
Just imagine the elegant dinner parties it has been present at in its time.....
A lovely gift for someone who likes things a little different - maybe for a Christening, Engagement or Anniversary.
It is round in shape, has a diameter of 4 cm, is 2.3 cm deep and weighs 17.8g.
