This spoon is about 190 years old. Just imagine what it may have seen in its time, what occasions it has graced. Maybe it was used for a breakfast at a grand country house!

This antique silver spoon was hallmarked in London in 1834, by Charles Boyton. This was during the reign of William IV, when Birmingham Town Hall, designed by Joseph Hansom and Edward Welch, was opened for the Birmingham Triennial Music Festival.

The spoon is in very good condition, was probably used as a sugar or jam spoon, and would be perfect to use as that again.

A lovely gift for someone who likes things a little different - maybe for a Christening, Engagement or Anniversary.

The spoon is 10.4 cm long and 2.9 cm at it's widest. It has ornately engraved letters on the top, possibly DPU, but I think this could be considered decoration.
