A lovely bronze sculpture of a Lurcher. Full of energy and intelligence, they do love a quick sprint!
It is easy to see why Michael's sculptures are so popular, he has a keen eye for the form and character of the animal he is modelling, be it a cute mouse or a Lurcher. Michael studied in Staffordshire and was inspired by the traditions of pottery in Stoke on Trent. As a result of this he sometimes works in clay for his initial modelling, unlike most bronze artists who always use wax.
This is a limited edition piece - one of 150 - it has been decorated and finished using the traditional method of patination and is a solid foundry bronze.
Each piece comes beautifully boxed with a certificate of authenticity. The certificate also includes information about the artist and the edition number .
It is 7 cm at it's tallest point and it is 6.5 cm long and 3.5 cm deep.
