Hallmarked in 1902 in Birmingham by Joseph Gloster, this vesta case is an exquisite example of the artistry and skill of the Edwardian era. Crafted from sterling silver it has intricate engraving on front and back with a clear cartouche on the front for you to add your own engraving if you so wish. It would make an elegant addition to anyone's collection, perfect for an antique silver or jewellery collector, or for people interested in social history and the history of design and manufacture.

it is in almost perfect condition, treasured by someone for many years. The hinged  sprung lid opens and closes beautifully, and the hallmark is clear and well-preserved. A charming keepsake for an unusual birthday present, or as a gift to celebrate a silver wedding anniversary .

It measures 4.9 cm tall, is 4.8 cm wide including the bale, and 1 cm deep.  It weighs 30g.
