A particularly elegant piece, this eye-catching brooch, is crafted in sterling silver in a design inspired by the work of Arts and Crafts designer and architect Charles Rennie Mackintosh, particularly famous for The Glasgow School of Art. The brooch pairs two of his most recognisable motifs; the geometry of the trellis pattern alongside stylised leaf-like forms.
A lovely gift for any fan of the elegant style of the Arts and Crafts movement, the brooch would grace any coat or jacket.
The brooch bears the maker's mark "MG" - Malcom Gray - he designed for Ortak Jewellery who produced beautiful collections inspired by Celtic and other historic designs. It is in excellent condition, and measures 4.1 cm tall and 1.4 cm wide with a good locking catch on the back.
Will be delivered in a Smithsonia gift box.
