European cultures have long believed opal is a symbol of hope, purity and truth. It is the birthstone for October.
The stone is a laboratory grown opal created from similar elements to those that occur in the natural gemstone. They are much more durable than natural mined opals.
The pendant measures 0.8 cm at it's widest and the total drop is 1.1 cm including the bail. It is supplied on a bright sterling silver chain which measures 45 cm and is finished with a maker's tag.
Will be delivered in a Smithsonia gift box.
