This pretty brooch was made circa 1996 by Kit Heath Jewellery..The design was inspired by the work of Arts and Crafts designer and architect Charles Rennie Mackintosh, particularly famous for The Glasgow School of Art. The brooch features his "Glasgow Rose" motif and is embellished with a finely faceted marquise amethyst gemstone.

A lovely gift for any fan of the elegant style of the Arts and Crafts movement, the brooch would grace any coat or jacket.

This brooch is in excellent condition and measures a generous 4.1 cm tall and 3 cm wide, and it has a good locking catch on the back.

Amethyst is the birthstone for February and is considered to be a stone with protective energies associated with calm and clarity.
