This is a truly fine piece of jewellery. The quality, the colours, the stones and the skilled enamelling create a work of art that can be worn. The central stone is a faceted amethyst, the four in the wings are cabachon amethysts and the long body is set with 22 sparkly white sapphires. The wings are vitreous enamel in the Plique-a-Jour style. This is a technique which encapsulates the enamel in the silver framework to allow the light to shine through, so perfectly replicates the delicate translucency of the wings of s dragonfly.

The brooch measures approximately 6.8 cm at its widest point and is 4.8 cm tall. There is a quality safety catch to keep the pin in place.
It can also be worn as a pendant as there is a bale for a chain to feed through. Please note, no chain is included.
