Designed by contemporary jeweller Nicole Barr, these fine and elegant sterling silver teardrop earrings incorporate the ancient technique of enamelling with little sparkly White Sapphires to create a vision of a starry night sky.

The highly skilled art of vitreous enamelling involves applying powdered glass to the surface of the silver and fusing them by firing at very high temperatures to create a smooth durable glossy finish. In these earrings the enamel graduates from a pale turquoisey blue to a darker night sky blue.

It is believed that white sapphires bestow love, prosperity and good fortune.

The earrings have a total drop of 2.9 cm, including the silver hook, and are 0.9 cm at the widest point. The sterling silver has been Rhodium Plated for easy care.
