A striking depiction in bronze of one of our most beautiful and symbolic flowers. We love it not only for its beauty but also for being a recognised symbol of remembrance.
Designed by Keith Sherwin who was born in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, the home of the Potteries. He trained as a ceramic artist, with world renowned company, Royal Doulton. He is a self taught wildlife sculptor whose aim is to observe nature and its beauty, to capture one moment in time and share it via his work.
The poppy is made from solid foundry bronze, with hand finished patina, the flower and foliage have been delicately hand painted with artist's oils and sealed with a protective varnish. There is a roundel incuded to the reverse which can be used for engraving.
It is a limited edition sculpture , number 7 of 150 .
It stands 12.5 cm tall, is 7.5 cm wide, 5.5 cm in depth and weighs approximately 210g.
Each piece comes beautifully boxed with a certificate of authenticity. The certificate also includes information about the artist and the edition number .
