Designed by jeweller Nicole Barr, this fine sterling silver pendant is created by using the ancient technique of enamelling in a contemporary design to celebrate our love of trees.

The highly skilled art of vitreous enamelling involves applying powdered glass to the surface of the silver and fusing them by firing at very high temperatures, to create a smooth durable glossy finish.

The enamel is applied in a subtle gradation of light to dark blue, with the shape of a majestic winter tree overlaid in sterling silver. The Tree of Life has universally been believed to symbolise growth, strength, rebirth and the interconnectedness of all living things.

The pendant has a total drop of 2.5 cm including the bale, and is 2 cm wide. The silver is Rhodium Plated for easy care. On the reverse of the pendant the shape of the tree is impressed into the enamel without the silver overlay.

It is presented on a quality 52.5 cm silver belcher chain with an ingenious silicon lined sliding ball to make it fully adjustable, so it may be worn at any shorter length.
