This quirky little glass otter is such a cute work of art featuring one of the most popular, yet illusive, British mammals.
Found in our cleaner rivers, Otters are well suited to a life on the water as they have webbed feet, dense fur to keep them warm, and can close their ears and nose when underwater.
He has been painstakingly made by hand, by Elizabeth, in West Sussex, using photos from researching trips and wildlife reference books. Colour is added using different metal oxides, all very technical, but the end result is wonderful.
This little fella is 4 cm tall, 3 cm wide and 11.5 cm long.
