'Mallard' Bronze by Michael Simpson

An attractive sculpture of a Mallard, the most widespread and familiar of all duck species. They are the ancestors of most domestic ducks.

Designed by Michael Simpson who studied in Staffordshire and was inspired by the traditions of Stoke on Trent. As a result of this he works in clay for his initial modelling, unlike most bronze artists who use wax.

The duck is made from solid foundry bronze, with a hand finished patina.

This is a limited edition piece - one of 200.

It stands 5.5cm tall, is 4.5cm wide and weighs 100g.

Each piece comes beautifully boxed with a certificate of authenticity. The certificate also includes information about the artist and the edition number .
