Bronze Hedgehog with an Apple by Michael Simpson

A lovely image of a British favourite that sadly we don't see so much of these days. This little fellow has found a juicy apple to nibble. It has been designed by artist Michael Simpson. Just look at that cute little nose and those feet!

Michael studied in Staffordshire and was inspired by the traditions of Stoke on Trent. As a result of this he works in clay for his initial modelling, unlike most bronze artists who use wax.

The hedgehog is made from solid foundry bronze, with a hand finished patina which creates the reddish colour of the apple.

It is a limited edition sculpture - one of 250.

He stands just under 5cm tall and is 5cm at his widest point

Each piece comes beautifully boxed with a certificate of authenticity. The certificate also includes information about the artist and the edition number .
