A lovely image of a British rural scene, designed by artist Michael Simpson. A little mouse climbing up a poppy stem.
Michael studied in Staffordshire and was inspired by the traditions of Stoke on Trent. As a result of this he works in clay for his initial modelling, unlike most bronze artists who use wax.
This piece is made from solid foundry bronze, with a hand finished patina and the poppy has been hand painted using acrylics.
It is a limited edition sculpture - one of 250 - the number is stamped on the back of a leaf.
The piece stands 13cm tall and is 8cm wide at the base.
Each piece comes beautifully boxed with a certificate of authenticity. The certificate also includes information about the artist and the edition number .
