An exquisite solid bronze sculpture of a kingfisher in flight, with a fish in its beak. It is quite a rare occurrence to see a real kingfisher, but a very exciting one with that wonderful flash of blue.
Designed by Michael Simpson who studied in Staffordshire and was inspired by the traditions of Stoke on Trent. As a result of this he works in clay for his initial modelling, unlike most bronze artists who use wax.
A limited edition piece - one of 100 - the sculpture is11cm tall and 14cm from the tip of her tail to the end of the reed.
Each piece comes beautifully boxed with a certificate of authenticity. The certificate also includes information about the artist and the edition number .
