A prettily engraved vintage sterling silver bangle, hallmarked in Chester in 1955 by Smith Ewen & Stylic Ltd. The year that Cardiff became the official capital of Wales, Rowan Atkinson was born and Sir Alexander Fleming died.
One side is attractively engraved with swirls, fleurs de lys, dots and dashes, the other is high polished silver.
It has a strong safe catch with the addition of a safety chain and is In good condition, not even a wrinkle! This beautiful bangle has obviously been pre- loved, and, as proof, has a lovely engraving on the inside which reads: “ To Laurie with love from Eddie on our Silver Wedding. February 8th 1956”. It is now time for someone to add their own history to the story .
What a perfect present for someone born in that year, anyone who loves vintage silver or a fan of decorated bangles.
It is oval in shape, measuring 6.2 cm by 5.5 cm internally, is 2.4 cm wide and weighs 38.1g.
